Ben Dame is a Triathlete, marathon runner and ultra distance runner. At the end of 2012 he was named as a national top ten triathlete in his age group and in October 2012 represented the USA at the ITU Olympic Distance Triathlon World Championship in London as part of TeamUSA. After this he was ranked globally in the Top 100.
He’s listed as an Ironman All World Athlete and has the Silver status which places him among top 5% of worldwide competitors at the Ironman distance (3.86km swim, 180.25km bike and marathon 42.2km run). In 2013 Ben was ranked among the Top 70 Ironman athletes in the US. He has also competed at the 2012 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nevada where he secured a top 50 finish.
More recently he’s turned his attention to ultrarunning. In 2016 he completed a self-supported 250km race in the Atacama desert in Chile with an overall 3rd place finish. In June 2017 Ben took part in the 250km Ultra in the Gobi desert in China and placed overall 2nd. Ben has also participated in 250km races in Sri Lanka and Madagascar.
Ben has the 2nd best ever time to complete the lake Baikal marathon, which crosses the frozen Siberian lake. He ran the distance in 3:12:00 at temperatures around -30C.
Ben is also the current CEO of health startup HealthMatters.io and has been part of numerous successful startups since 2004.
