Raw Spicy Energy Endurance Snacks

These little snacks are great for a long run. Carry them in a ziplock in your fuel belt as they might get sticky. They are packed with calories, taste amazing and are easy on the stomach. Use them instead of gels.

This recipe is:

Raw, Vegan, Gluten-free, Organic, GMO-free, Salt-free

Time to prepare:

10 min

What’s in it?

  • 1 cup pitted Dates
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 1.5 fresh squeezed Limes
  • 1/2 cup Almonds
  • 1/2 cup Cashews
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts
  • 1 small piece of Ginger
  • 1/4 tbsp Cayenne Pepper Powder

Instructions:

  1. Throw the dry ingredients in your food processor, then add the dates and raisins and lime juice and process until everything starts to stick together. If too dry, add more lime juice. Note: One word of caution regarding the pitted dates. It can be difficult for some food processors to handle dates as they are pretty big and sticky. What I usually do is cut them into fairly small pieces beforehand and only then add them to the rest of the ingredients in the food processor.
  2. Roll into balls. Place balls onto either parchment paper and place into freezer. Wait 60 min before eating.

Et Voilà!

ENJOY!
